Clones....CLONES!

This may be the oddest Barbie clone item I've ever seen.  At my local Dollar Tree they have what appear to be clones of the Fashionista Swapping heads.  But they don't appear to have any method of removing them from their "bust" so you can put them on a doll, plus no bodies available to accept them.  So what you have is the head and shoulders of barbies with no bodies, or the tiniest styling heads ever!

Sorry for the crappy camera phone pic.  But they had a ton of them, and no bodies.  Maybe other Dollar Trees have bodies to go with them--can anyone confirm?  Either way, it was a very odd sight.  They're not well done, but I was tempted to spend the dollar to get one just to see if they were useful in any way.  Oh, and their jewelry is glued on.  Very odd.

  2. Maybe they can be used them to display hats in a Store diorama. I will check with the Dollar Tree by my house and see if they have them.

  4. I only saw one or two in my dollar store. They didn't seem to have so many. Yes, I agree that they are odd but could be used to display hats in a store diorama. On that subject, aren't display heads to look like dolls or just be blank. This would make the display look strange, like human heads on the counter.

  5. I saw those too. I had assumed at the time they made them to fit the Swappin' Styles bodies. Hmmm.

  6. Hello from Spain: in Spain at the moment they do not sell the clones of the loose heads of the body. Yes there are clones of Barbies but they are very ugly and much more cheap. We follow in contact of blog blog

  7. This is very funny. Maybe like Ms. Leo said, you could use them as store displays. But to keep them from being creepy just wipe off their makeup and leave their faces blank or repaint them with stylized makeup so they don't look realistic - the same way many mannequins don't look realistic.

  8. I saw these too. I think since they have that "ball" type neck you are so post to just pop them off a put the other head on.
